      The Manager of our IT Service Desk team will direct, organize, plan and manage the help desk area of Information Technology (IT) to make sure end users receive professional and efficient technical support. This position will ensure effective and efficient fulfillment of organizational goals and objectives for the software and hardware facets of information systems and the associated technology. Provide the users of IT services with quality systems that are cost effective and that meet the goals and objectives of the organization. Provide design, architecture, and direction for the distribution and resolution of organizational support issues submitted to the enterprise service desk. Provide 24/7 support for assigned information systems.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Minimum of seven years IT experience to include systems or desktop/mobile administration, matrix management concepts, server and network support, customer support and empowerment of employees required.

      • Minimum of two years leadership experience required.

      • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience (One year of experience equals one year of education) required.

      • Excellent operational understanding of IT infrastructure architectures including: Windows, Linux, UNIX, Virtual desktops, thin clients, WAN/LAN, networking protocols, VOIP, Audio Visual, and telecommunications technology required.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master's Degree in Computer Science, management information systems, or related field preferred.

      • Experience in multiple server and network technology, virtual environments, and multiple protocol environments preferred.

      • Experience managing both staff and outsourced service contracts preferred.

      • Experience in university and/or healthcare setting preferred.

      • High familiarity with healthcare applications and regulatory requirements preferred.

      • All of the above in a university or healthcare setting preferred.

      Experience with healthcare and/or university information systems including application and data layer management preferred.

      • Experience with IT Service Management preferred.

      • Experience working with project life cycle and project management methodologies preferred.

      • Experience leading projects and/or teams in complex technology solutions preferred.

      • Project management skills including implementation of information systems preferred.

      • Budget preparation, team building and conflict resolution skills preferred.

      • Demonstration of leadership through team motivation, coaching, mentoring and delegating preferred.

      • Proven ability to provide leadership to diverse groups and teams preferred.
