      Urban Alchemy is a nonprofit organization with the mission of transforming people and places through respect,
      compassion, and love to heal communities challenged by the intersection of extreme poverty, mental illness,
      addiction, and homelessness. The name Urban Alchemy references the process of spiritual and social
      transformation that our staff engage in – both internally and in practice with all members of the public. Since our
      founding in 2018, Urban Alchemy has grown into a thriving social enterprise with over 1,100 employees. We
      provide community outreach and engagement, temporary housing for people experiencing homelessness, mobile
      bathrooms and showers, and street cleaning services. Urban Alchemy currently operates in the San Francisco Bay

      Position Summary:
      The Manager, Data & Reporting will support the Systems Team by overseeing the collecting, analyzing, and
      presenting of data and data visualizations to support Urban Alchemy in its decision making and its reporting to
      contract partners. The Manager, Data and Reporting will provide strong, reliable support for Operations and
      General and Administrative departments by creating and communicating procedures, protocols, and systems for
      data collection, visualization, and reporting. In this role, you will supervise a small team of Data Operators to
      accomplish this work. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and
      provide insights that inform strategic decision making. You will use your aptitude in data analysis to process and
      present large amounts of data in a clear and meaningful way and use your communication skills to help
      stakeholders understand complex data sets through data visualization. This is a challenging and dynamic role that
      requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skill, and the ability to work

      Position Duties and Responsibilities:
      Position Specific:

      • Oversees and manages an impact measurement, data collection, and reporting program.
      • Manage the collection, processing, and analysis of large amounts of data to inform program decisions
      • Create, maintain, and issue accurate and up-to-date reports on key performance indicators for contract partners as well as organization-wide
      • Partners with the Chief Systems Engineer to develop new data collection and reporting systems
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and our partners to understand data needs and provide relevant insights
      • Design and implement data visualizations to help stakeholders understand complex data sets
      • Develop and implement data quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness
      • Participates as a leader in contributing to ongoing strategy in collaboration with the Systems Team to support the overall services of Urban Alchemy
      • Build trust among team members by setting a highly visible example for colleagues within the systems team in terms of professional excellence and commitment to demonstrating UA values and competencies
      • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
      • Keep executive leadership informed with detailed and accurate reports

      • Must be able to obtain and maintain background clearance based on Urban Alchemy’s policies
      • Lived experience with incarceration and/or homelessness is valued
      • Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor

      Qualifications


      Position Requirements:
      Position Specific:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent lived experience with relevant education (Computer Science, Mathematics, Business)
      • 3+ years performing successfully in the same or similar roles
      • Strong time-management and people skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability
      • Proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems
      • Proficiency in one or more data analysis tools(e.g. Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets)
      • Proficiency in Zendesk, Salesforce, and similar software preferred
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
      • Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines
      • Ability to deal with contract partners, vendors and staff in an efficient and professional manner
      • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally

      • Bending at Waist: Less than 1 hour per day
