      Continuous Improvement (PEAK) & Productivity Manager Location: Kent, OH Department: Global Supply Chain, D&T Reports to: Sr. Manager, PEAK & Productivity The evolution of the Newell Brands Supply Chain includes a focus on driving productivity through building capability in people, processes, and technology. PEAK, Newell’s branded improvement strategy, is fundamental to that goal. A Center of Excellence with a deep competency in implementation PEAK PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) in a Factory/Warehouse setting is a crucial element in our future success. The PEAK/Productivity Manager will be responsible for driving PEAK implementation and its use as an operating system in the distribution network. They will support the facilitation and support leading the CI strategy and capability deployment in several sites to support business imperatives through the effective deployment of PEAK systems, capabilities, and methodology. In addition, they will support driving the overall productivity agenda for the Supply Chain Distribution & Transportation network in North America. The overall agenda includes components of strategy build, governance, reporting, capability building, and overall project management. Position Detail – Responsibilities - Support site’s Productivity Governance program to effectively manage the overall Productivity Agenda - Support site efforts to build and deliver productivity project funnel to achieve site productivity goals - Track and report out to key stakeholder’s productivity results, updates, and strategy - Partner with site PEAK resources to facilitate the development of Site Master Plans to deliver long and short-term business objectives through system deployment and capability building focus on alignment, the elimination of waste, and 100% employee engagement. - Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual deployment strategies, plans, and tactics for the site (including all 4 wall functions) - Support identification, facilitation, and tracking of functional cost improvement projects - Align CI initiatives with the Overarching Strategic Plan and PEAK implementation strategy - Partner, Coach, and facilitate the site teams through the integration of CI methods and strategy - Build capability and deploy systems to optimize value streams and work processes - Assure integration of all PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) and effective governance to standards and master plan priorities - Link PACS work groups to prioritized business opportunities - Teach & support the teams in using problem solving & tracking tools - Network with other global and organizational leaders & to learn and share “Best Practices”. - Provide guidance and alignment in support of the global PEAK Agenda - Provide analytics and business intelligence to support project selection, root-cause analysis, project validation, etc. - Ensure that PEAK work is impacting both results, and the culture change including: o Capability building for setting, tracking and problem-solving measures o Total employee involvement o Linkages of individual and team activities to losses and the business need Position Detail – Key Qualifications - Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent degree - 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing / distribution role leadership role or in a Central Supply Chain type role with project and leadership experience - Knowledge of MS Office Tools - Strategic and tactical Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma experience (DMAIC Green Belt or equivalent) - Experience leading large, cross-functional teams to achieve results - Interpersonal skills, self-confidence, leadership abilities - Proven Change agent - Ability to build trust and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management - Proven ability to facilitate relations between Executive Leadership, Business Units and Supply Chain stakeholders - Strong project management skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Highly effective organization and planning skills required. - Communication skills (verbal and written) - Working knowledge of common distribution systems and processes - Professional maturity, appearance, and demeanor - Team leadership and team membership skills - Creative, reliable, organized, adaptable, flexible, innovative, and a self-starter - Focus on adding value to a fast and performance driven business - 25% travel for trainings, summits, etc.
