      What is the opportunity?

      As a Manager for Process Excellence you will be dedicated to the RBC Insurance Lean Six Sigma program. The position is a key and strategic operating role to Business/Functional/GTO unit leadership and plays a critical role in the achievement of the overall success of RBC’s transformational change efforts.

      What will you do?

      • Proven Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Process Improvement subject matter expert, project team leader, and technical and cultural change agent.

      • Develop and maintain project work plans, including change management (e.g. influencing; removing barriers; etc.), and implementation management (for flawless project execution).

      • Develop and maintain a planned and prioritized list of initiatives with the business(s) supported aligned to the RBC strategic priorities which drive value to the organization

      • Deliver transformational change and meet aggressive process improvement targets that are directly aligned with the RBC strategy. Identify and break down barriers to project progress. •Have a strategic and execution focused mindset.

      • Proactively identify opportunities for transformational change and engage Project Champions, Business/Functional/GTO Unit leaders and others to evaluate and prioritize those opportunities.

      What will you need to succeed?

      • 5+ years of experience leading medium to large projects that delivered a high level of value (benefit/cost), with a high level of complexity and uncertainty

      • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience. LSS Black Belt Certification and PMP certification or equivalent

      • Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) and Project Management Technical Knowledge; comprehensive understanding of LSS and Project Management concepts and processes with a proven track record of success. Demonstrate the skills in complex situations involving transformational impact.

      • The ability to work with businesses to diagnose business problems, adept at process mapping, data collection and analysis

      • The ability to collaborate with project team to generate process improvement solutions using LSS tools and present them to Senior Management/Executives

      • Utilize your impact and influence skills to drive change and deliver on process improvement solutions

      • The ability to identify critical success factors, performance targets, defining objectives and scope; successfully utilize techniques for assessing processes and establishing benchmarks for process performance.
