      Category Strategy Development:

      • Develop and implement the procurement strategy for logistics operations, particularly for rail terminals and FM/LM transportation, aligned with overall business objectives.
      • Analyze market trends in logistics and transportation, assess supplier capabilities, and identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and risk mitigation.

      Supplier Relationship Management:

      • Build and maintain robust relationships with logistics service providers, rail operators, carriers, and 3PL partners.
      • Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and conduct regular business reviews to ensure service optimization, cost competitiveness, and adherence to contractual agreements.

      Sourcing and Vendor Selection:

      • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process for rail terminal services and FM/LM logistics, including conducting RFIs/RFPs, evaluating proposals, and selecting the best-fit suppliers.
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define logistics requirements and ensure alignment on service delivery and cost expectations.

      Contract Management:

      • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with logistics service providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
      • Monitor contractual performance, manage renewals and modifications, and address any disputes or operational challenges.

      Cost Optimization:

      • Analyze and optimize transportation costs by evaluating freight rates, routes, and shipping methods, with a focus on rail, FM, and LM logistics.
      • Implement cost-saving strategies such as route consolidation, mode optimization, and leveraging technology-driven solutions.

      Risk Management:

      • Identify and mitigate risks in logistics operations, including capacity constraints, service disruptions, and regulatory compliance issues.
      • Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions in rail terminal, FM, and LM logistics operations.

      Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

      • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for rail terminal and logistics operations, including cost savings, supplier performance, and service quality.
      • Generate detailed reports and dashboards to provide insights for data-driven decision-making.

      Continuous Improvement:

      • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in logistics procurement.
      • Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics to enhance efficiency in rail terminal, FM, and LM logistics operations.
