      Manager Regulatory Affairs Remote

      This position is responsible for managing and developing a team tasked with performing timely tracking of new laws, regulations and sub regulatory guidance, and government contract requirements applicable to Providence Health Assurance's Medicare Advantage and Medicaid lines of business at the state and federal level. The team is responsible for interpretation and dissemination of applicable new laws, regulations, guidance, and contract terms. Responsible for ensuring the team conducts regulatory consulting and training for the business to ensure successful business implementation of and adherence to such laws, regulations and guidance. Oversees all required state and federal filings for which team is responsible and acts as a key participant in product lifecycle work to ensure successful product filings in existing and new service areas. Works closely with the Director, Regulatory Affairs to ensure successful management and development of Medicare and Medicaid regulatory affairs functions. Works closely with the Sr. Director, Compliance to ensure assist with transition to oversight under a "seven elements of an effective compliance program" structure.

      MAJOR CHALLENGES:

      1. Establishing oversight capacities sufficient to ensure a high-performing regulatory program, operating in tandem but separate from, the Medicare and Medicaid compliance functions.

      2. Leading regulatory team through successful growth into new business geographies and corresponding regulatory environments

      3. Conducting work that is viewed as a value-added management service versus an enforcement or administrative role.

      Required qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or other related field And
      • 3 years experience in regulatory affairs, risk management, litigation support, health care or health insurance or government relations

      Preferred qualifications:

      • Master's Degree
      • J.D.
      • 2 years Management experience in compliance or similar risk management functions
      • 2 years health insurance

      • California: All Northern California - Except Humboldt: Min: $71.25, Max: $112.48
      • California: All Southern California - Except Bakersfield: Min: $63.50, Max: $100.26
      • California: Bakersfield: Min: $60.92, Max: $96.18
      • Oregon: Non-Portland Service Area: Min: $56.79, Max: $89.66
