Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.The Manager Mortgage Communications & Training is responsible for drafting, editing and publishing important communications to our mortgage sales force, mortgage broker partners, branches and operations teams. The Manager is a proven bilingual (English, French) communicator who is able to distill complex, technical content into relevant, engaging messages that are tailored to the audience. They will also support executive mortgage updates and mortgage related customer communications tied to sales and marketing activities.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Communicate changes to credit policies and mortgage related processes through clear and simple written communications to stakeholders
• Partner with each of our mortgage sales channels to understand their business and ensure communications are relevant and applicable to them
• Review mortgage related communications drafted by internal partners to ensure accuracy, relevance and clarity before publication
• Understand system, policy, and product changes and produce training content to be used by salesforce
• Maintain digital repositories of procedures, information sheets and other reference material to support stakeholders throughout the mortgage process. Ensure that this information is updated and aligned to changes to policies and processes as they occur.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of the respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
• Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• Bilingual - written and verbal fluency in both English and French
• University Degree and 2+ years experience in communications roles
• Knowledge of the real estate secured lending business in an asset• Expert communicator – written and verbal proficiency in English and French
• Strong business acumen and a strategic thinker
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
• A proven ability to navigate complex organizations with several stakeholders
• A relentless drive to learn the mortgage business and how it works
• Strong understanding of key stakeholders, the Bank’s organizational structure and operating model
• An understanding of Scotiabank’s real estate secured lending strategy, key priorities and how they fit within the strategic agenda of the Canadian Banking division
