      Manager Storytelling

      Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

      The Manager Storytelling develops an integrated, through-the-line, marketing communications package to support adidas’ global and specific BU marketing and business objectives.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Consult BU product managers in developing marketing and communication plans that drive the business unit and lead to effective communication activities.
      • Drive overall integrated Comms planning for key concepts and category initiatives, setting high level Communications goals and leading a cross functional team, including PR, In-store/Retail, Events, Product, Sports Marketing and Account Marketing in the development and implementation of campaign strategies and executional plans
      • Coordinate global and local agencies across projects and activities for the business unit: agency briefing process and development of concepts and creative elements.
      • Direct agencies towards creative concept that meets objectives and works across disciplines, and global markets.
      • Develop of communication tools from conception to implementation ensuring all projects are on brief and meet the highest creative standards.
      • Execute and track the Business Unit and global communications plan and benchmark the progress in the brand perception in markets.
      • Ideate campaign performance post-evaluation by conducting or coordinating research and tracking project development, collating results into regular quality reports.

      • Allocate communications and advertising specific budgets and spending strategies to ensure communication activities are developed with regional use and implementation issues in mind.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Good interpersonal/communication skills and level of strategic thinking.
      • Experience in marketing communications, campaign development and execution.
      • Deep understanding of an ever-changing marketing landscape and experience in project management.
      • Ability to collaborate and use platforms and tools utilized by multiple functions as well as ability to manage and / or collaborate with internal and external cross-functional groups: product marketing, communications, social, digital.
      • Ability to take complex + ambiguous information and provide clarity + direction.
      • Innovative creative thinker, contributor and source of inspiration.
      • Self-starter. Can independently initiate, prioritize and manage workload.
      • Organizational and executional skills when owning a project/activation
      • Understanding of and passion for basketball and lifestyle footwear industry.
      • Strong presentation and organizational skills.
      • Experience managing direct reports while coaching and providing career development opportunities.
      • Ability to effectively organize and manage cross-functional teams.

      Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

      • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail, Digital or a related field. Master Degree / MBA a plus.
      • 4+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience.
      • Fluent written and spoken English language skills.

      • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $90,000-$113,000. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
      • We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The working location of this position is Los Angeles.
      • Though our teammates hail from all corners of the world, our working language is English.
