      Under supervision from the Area, Senior Manager , the Traffic Manager will perform a variety of duties by applying traffic management, principles, techniques, and analysis. The Traffic Manager’s position is primarily an office-based role with the key responsibility being the review, consultation and revision of contractors Traffic Management Plans and MOT applications. Additionally, supervision of work on the construction and maintenance of site roads and highways will occasionally be required. Extensive experience of supervising safe working in live traffic is essential. Independent travel and work across a variety of different construction site locations will be required.

      SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

      • Assists contractors in developing and submitting Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
      • Reviews contractor drawings and TMP/MOT submittals. Maintains a TMP/MOT tracker dashboard and delivers regular reports on these matters to the Senior Traffic Manager and Head of Operational Logistics.
      • Liaises with MOT officials and NEOM Land Mobility staff based offsite.
      • Directs routine traffic engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering practices in accordance with MOT standards where applicable.
      • Supervises and leads contractors working on traffic engineering tasks including live highway works.
      • Assists in preparing and issuing specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides input to CAD designers and drafters working on the same subject.
      • Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

      PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

      • Requires a Bachelors Degree with minimum 15-20 years experience in traffic engineering and traffic management. Must have experience with TIS, modeling, and MOT regulations within the GCC region.
      • Proven ability to perform in a management role, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
      • In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project – e.g. Aconex, Enablon etc.
      • High competency in the use of personal computers and software typically used in engineering, is also preferred.
      • Must be experienced in working on High-Speed carriageways.
      • Must be experienced in supervising the installation, maintenance, and removal of all traffic management equipment.
