What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage teams of Section Chiefs and supervise Assistant Attorneys General in high-profile litigation cases
- Direct and assist in investigations, drafting pleadings, and all aspects of discovery
- Present oral arguments and participate in trial and post-trial proceedings in state and federal court
- Represent the Office in public settings on sensitive matters with potential media interest
- Collaborate with teams to tackle significant legal issues affecting the state and nation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school or completion of the WSBA's Rule 6 Law Clerk Program
- Licensed to practice law in Washington State or actively pursuing admission
- Minimum of twelve years of experience litigating civil cases in state and federal courts
- Proven ability to mentor attorneys and foster a collaborative work environment
- Exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills
