- Station Operational performance
- Collateral responsibility to drive metrics:
- OT:00, STAR, Int'l, MST, Contribution
- United Track, UP, Customer Handling and Ramp handling
- ALL Ramp Goals and Ops. Metrics (MBTA, Bag Delivery, etc)
- ALL Customer Goals and Ops. Metrics (Passenger Load Bridge, Easy Check-In Unit etc.)
- ALL Cargo Goals and Ops. Metrics (BAB, Mail, payload max, etc.)
- Ensures Performance metrics achievement, through tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Primary responsibility for Cross-Divisional Operational Communication
- PRO Team process oversight with OCC, OPC and CS
- Responsible for vendor management of PV Facility Contracts and Janitorial
- Primary Liaison for Cross - Divisional Communication and Operational Teaming (MM, FO,SW,JL).
- Primary Liaison for UAX carrier ops. Teaming with UA. (Gates, PAX handling, CNX)
- Responsible for management of SOC policies/programs and goal achievement, (Flow Control, Flt of Note, auto re-quote, SOC manual)
- Primary operational liaison with OCC / OPB
- Ensures safe/efficient application of Station Gate /Schedule Planning (IGAPs, Gate utilization, taxi times)
- PV Responsibilities
- Responsible for UAL Facility and Leasehold Maintenance - Safety / Serviceability includes Vendor contract for bag handling systems, PLB’s, terminal/concourse (gates lobbies), Hangar Facilities,
- Cargo Warehouse, Power grid and utilities
- Ensures Paint work accomplished: Tarmac ops. Lines, Hanger support, facility /office, signage
- Responsible for Environmental Compliance for all Facility Maintenance related areas (Air, Water, Fuel, Haz Mat/Waste)
- Station oversight for compliance with all DIA operating requirements
- Responsible performance on PV Metrics (Facility MAX - o/s levels, MPR, PM checks, repairs)
- Directs In sourcing Programs.
- (Confined Space, Fire Suppression System Maintenance etc.….)
- Responsible for long- and short-term gate capability maximization based on active and planned fleet mix.
- Primary responsibility for Facility Maintenance related OSHA compliance (State and Fed)
- Responsibility for UA Emission and Electrification compliance
- Ensures Facility and Maintenance goal achievement.
- Coordination of Station Ops. Audits i.e. LQ/QA audit, Environmental, FAA, TSA
- Directs janitorial requirements.
- Ensures cleanliness/condition of all facilities and oversees vendor contract.
- Station Safety & Security
- Ensures Aircraft Damage & LTI goal achievement.
- Contributes Station Safety Plan Achievement (Ensure Safety Culture)
- Participates Cross Divisional Safety Committee (Safety & Accident Review Boards meeting actions)
- SOC Oversight of Accident Investigation and reporting responsibility (ERS, OPCSY etc)
- Primary Responsibility for Security Plan development and execution (AOSSP, GSC, and Oversight)
- Oversight of UA Tower Ops. (SORs)
- Ensures safe, efficient ground Radio communication.
- Manages UA Shift managers / Zone control Station Communication - to/from cockpit / FAA tower.
- Supports safe dispatch of aircraft.
- Responsible for Station Emergency Procedures
- Coordination of Station Accident support team
- Collateral oversight of Airport Authority, TSA, FAA Security programs (Gate safe / Pit check / PPBM)
- Serves as Government agency liaison for UAL at DEN (TSA, DIA, CBP, DPD, DFD et….)
- Financial Performance
- Facility Parts Inventory control of $1.1 million budget
- Collateral responsibility for DEN Real estate / leasehold optimization - Corp Real estate/Optimization
- Manages 90 employees and $10 million expense budget.
- Taxi Time Reduction
- APU Burn Reduction

- Responsible for implementing training programs ie mandatory, recurrent and ad-hoc.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years leadership experience in an Airport Operations Environment
- 2+ years hub operational experience (above and below the wing)

- College Degree or related field experience in an airline operational environment
- Continuous Improvement Green Belt Certification
- Solid understanding of Hub operations which includes customer service, ramp operations and business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills; including written and verbal.
- Motivated individual that has demonstrated leadership ability in large department environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and Project Management Experience
- Previous experience leading in a union environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversees approximately over 100 employees both union and non-union involving 2 collective bargaining agreements. Primary responsibility for operational performance coordination and delivery, performance tracking and reporting, performance improvement initiatives, cross divisional operational communication, and various short- and long-range planning functions at ORD (including flight schedule and facility asset utilization). Primary liaison with Federal and City agencies as well as leading coordination with airline community. Responsible for facility maintenance at the station, including the various Bag Handling Systems, Passenger Load Bridges, Hangar Facilities and remote aircraft park positions, power grids/utilities, Cargo Facility, aircraft gates/ lobbies, and various Vendor contracts (janitorial, fueling). Planning and execution of associated capital and non-capital Facility related projects and primary responsibility for all Facility Maintenance related Environmental Compliance and Waste Minimization at ORD. Responsible for supporting the Station Safety Culture and participation of Safety Committee, Safety Review Board, and Aircraft Review Boards, Event Report System reporting, etc. Responsible for OO/PV combined budget of $10 million. Responsible for having in-depth knowledge of operations, management, logistics, technology and financial disciplines. Has a proven track record for decisive actions backed by strategic planning, continuous improvement, analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performance. Will deliver results through leadership, direction, alignment and motivation.
