MANUFACTURING PROGRAMME MANAGER
Grade LL6, local Nitra
Salary: From 3600 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules
The Opportunity
Behind every great JLR design there lies a complex process of assembly & extensive build facility. To ensure that two culminate in fantastic vehicles that our customers will love for life, the MPM (Manufacturing Programme Management) team work tirelessly to facilitate plans that allow on time delivery, within budget investment and flawless quality launches across all JLR programmes.
When working within Manufacturing Programme Management, the role of Programme Manager takes on responsibility for managing and challenging key Programme financial and technical metrics, generate summary reports & represent MPM in a structured cadence of Senior Programme Reviews aligned to Agile, across all phases from Pre-Engineering release through to Launch Team Exit.
With a strong focus on the quality of your work, you’ll also need to have the business and planning acumen to drive the business forward and deliver a transformational set change with each launch.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
‘6’ Pillars of Manufacturing Programme Management:
Delivery :
• Drive delivery of Programme requirements within overall timing plan (VPF)
• Support all Manufacturing functions in the robust resolution of programme issues to deliver product feasibility (BoD/BoP/BoS) and Manufacturing Launch readiness
• Maintain programme financials’ Capital Investment and Operating costs
• Lead technical & financial programme reviews i.e. gateway readiness, Launch Cadence, Agile Showcases, QRB’s, Executive reviews and Launch Readiness Reviews.
Quality :
• Co-ordinate functional areas within Manufacturing to drive a Transformational improvement to Manufacturing quality through effective processes planning, prevent reoccurrence through IQM, robust inputs into launch quality deliverables, high hurts and robust PFMEAs etc
• Leadership of continuous improvement & standardisation activities across our Manufacturing Technologies and Plant teams
• Drive Manufacturing Target Agreement (if appropriate) metrics across all stakeholder functions
Cost :
• Establish robust investment target, aligned with Programme finance with evidence of benchmarking
• Report manufacturing inputs and alignment on capital investment, hours per car (HPC), Plant Logistic, etc.
• Review and submit investment responses to Programme PDL’s, Change Control, Gateway Submission, etc.
People :
• Host and lead cross functional reviews to address programme issues, using appropriate issue management tools (i.e. Obstacle boards or AIM)
• Demonstrate exemplary leadership and Customer First principals to create a positive working atmosphere
• Be the ‘voice of manufacturing’ in senior forums to lead by example
• Support the improvement of employee engagement & satisfaction (PULSE) within your team

Essential:
• Strong communication & leadership skills aligned to Customer First principals

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point & Excel)
• Prioritisation of workload withing Agile / waterfall
Desirable:
• Introduction to Agile
• Previous Project Management experience, with supervisory capacity
• Experience within the Automotive / Manufacturing sector
• Understanding of manufacturing processes combined with knowledge of Product & Launch processes
• Business & financial acumen & a strong analytical capability
