      Job Summary

      The Yards Marina, a premier waterfront destination on the Anacostia River, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marina Manager to oversee daily operations. Nestled between Nationals Park and the Washington Navy Yard, the marina offers direct access to vibrant dining, entertainment, and residential communities. The Marina Manager will ensure smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and a safe, welcoming environment for boaters and visitors alike.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Oversee all marina operations including docking, boat launching, and slip assignments and assisting with the boat pump out process.
      • Supervise and schedule marina staff; provide training, performance feedback, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
      • Maintain marina infrastructure, including docks, utilities, and equipment; coordinate repairs and routine maintenance.
      • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
      • Manage customer relations, including inquiries, reservations, billing, and conflict resolution.
      • Monitor and manage marina budgets, including revenue tracking, expense control, and vendor contracts.
      • Maintain accurate records of vessel arrivals, departures, and storage.
      • Promote marina services and coordinate community events or seasonal activities.
      • Serve as liaison with local authorities, harbor patrol, and waterfront stakeholders.

      Qualifications

      • Proven experience in marina or waterfront operations management.
      • Strong leadership and team management skills.
      • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
      • Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and environmental compliance.
      • Budgeting and financial oversight experience preferred.
      • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
      • CPR/First Aid certification and boating license (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
