- Deep market analysis: segmenting markets, understanding customer needs, sizing potential, and monitoring competitors and regulatory trends.
- Strategic planning and go‑to‑market design: ability to develop and adapt market entry, growth, and product positioning strategies for existing and new territories.
- Business case and forecasting: experience building revenue scenarios, pricing logics, and investment cases for management.
- Proven track record in sales: consistently achieving or exceeding targets, ideally in Spine business, complex B2B/healthcare environments with long sales cycles.
- Key account and stakeholder management: building trustful relationships with decision makers (e.g., hospital management, physicians, procurement) and managing them strategically over years.
- Sales strategy and funnel management: translating market plans into concrete lead‑generation, pipeline, and account plans, including KPIs and reporting.
- Experience in launching and scaling products: preparation of launches, seeding/reference sites, clinical or KOL support, and post‑launch optimization.
- Collaboration with marketing: co‑creating campaigns, value propositions, and promotional materials, and feeding market insights back into messaging and product roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of customer value propositions and differentiation vs. competitors.
- Solid data and analytical skills: working with CRM (SFCD), sales data, market research, dashboards, and deriving clear actions.
- Project and time management: leading cross‑functional projects (e.g., country launches, tenders, KOL programs) on time and within budget.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including translating complex concepts for clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders.
- Influencing without formal authority: driving initiatives across sales, marketing, medical, and regulatory teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and high self‑motivation, with a positive, “can‑do” attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or similar.
- Solid knowledge of market research methods, segmentation, pricing, and competitive analysis in the relevant industry.
- 10+ years in market development, business development, marketing or sales, with clear success in growing markets or launching products.
- Experience leading significant initiatives: market entries, major product launches, or key strategic projects, ideally with measurable impact on revenue or market share.
- Hands‑on experience in B2B sales or key account management: building pipelines, closing deals, and managing important customers over time.
- Strong understanding of go‑to‑market models, channel management, and how to align sales tactics with market development strategy.
- Advanced skills in data analysis, reporting and forecasting (Excel/Power BI/CRM dashboards), translating numbers into clear actions.
- Confident user of CRM systems and standard business software, experience with marketing automation or digital campaigns.
- Proven collaboration with marketing, sales, product, finance and medical/clinical affairs for launches and growth initiatives.
- Experience mentoring or informally leading others and steering cross‑functional project teams; at 10+ years often close to or already in a manager role.

We offer you an interesting position in which you will support the growth of the Medtronic Spinal product portfolio for spinal and cranial procedures (spinal implants, biologics, drilling and milling systems, navigation systems, imaging systems, robotic systems).
We are looking for a senior market development specialist with 10+ years of experience, who should combine strong strategic, analytical, and relationship-building capabilities with proven execution in sales and market expansion. For your this position we expect both hands‑on operational strength and the mindset of a mini “business owner” for this segment.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
