      Primary Purpose:

      Maximizes profitability, revenue, and market share through the development and implementation of marketing pricing strategies for specific assigned commodities. Develops opportunities with assigned accounts that support NS’ strategic growth objectives.

      Principal Duties:

      • Identifies and responds to pricing and marketing opportunities, requests, and negotiations on assigned commodities with customers, other railroad carriers, and other departments.
      • Maintains the pricing database, covering assigned commodities with the goal of pricing simplification, accurate billing, and timely collection through computer applications and file maintenance.
      • Manages relationships with customers to gain market intelligence, as well as develop and convert opportunities that yield carload and contribution growth.

      Job Related Experience:

      Minimum Level: 3-5 years Preferred Level: 6-10 years

      Education:

      Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree (MS, BS)
