Analyse the factors affecting the car/leasing and maintenance markets and produce a full review of RV and maintenance budgets twice a year, with new models set on a monthly basis.
Manage the Monthly Forecast Forum.
Drive the development of the outsourced used car price and maintenance forecasting methodology including the econometric models of used car prices.
Analyse the factors affecting Asset Risk Economic Capital.
Identify loss making vehicles/customers and suggest required action to enhance profitability.
Present complex information and concepts at internal forums as well as to the wider business at all levels.
Proactively analyse termination results for opportunities to mitigate risks.
Develop key processes towards efficiency and accuracy goals.
Keep up to date with product knowledge through new vehicle research, including manufacturer events.
Personally contribute to the Asset Risk visions as well as the LeasePlan UK strategy and vision.
Carry out ad hoc analysis in support of the wider business.
Proven track record in implementing solutions to analytical problems.
Creativity to formulate ideas and question current thinking with the drive to be solution oriented.
Confidence to question with an aim of constant development.
Use negotiating and influencing skills to promote an idea/concept.

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including macros.

Experience of actively participating in a team environment, whilst demonstrating the capability to work independently.

W e are seeking a skilled Data Analyst who is eager to learn and grow with the role. The successful candidate will have the ability to understand and draw conclusions from large datasets, providing insights on market trends to the rest of the business. You will be setting Residual Values (RVs) though no specific RV-experience is required, just the desire to develop your skillset and capacity to learn new systems such as SAS and Power BI. Full training on systems and processes will be provided on the job, and you will have great opportunities for career progression.
Role Purpose
You will produce forecasts on the new and used car markets as well as providing an outlook for service, maintenance and repairs using in-house econometric models and forecasting methodologies. You will forecast RVs and maintenance using in-house statistical forecasting methodology and drive the ongoing development of that methodology and provide regular and ad hoc management reports, analysis and recommendations on the UK economy and the general vehicle/leasing markets.
