What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage, direct, and lead the activities of architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers in the delivery of construction projects
- Oversee HVAC and plumbing engineering project management functions on capital improvement projects authorized by the State of Wisconsin Building Commission
- Conduct site inspections, troubleshooting analysis, and provide technical support to state agencies
- Develop and maintain design guidelines and specifications, along with design and bidding documents
- Participate in team assignments and provide additional services to the Division and other state agencies as directed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Registration as a Professional Engineer and/or Architect as determined by the Department of Safety and Professional Services
- Degree in an engineering field such as civil, electrical, electronic, environmental, mechanical, or structural engineering from a recognized college or university
- Experience in project management for design or construction of building HVAC systems
- Experience in mechanical (HVAC) engineering design and analysis for government or higher education or institutional facilities
- Experience providing HVAC engineering technical assistance and facility evaluation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience managing budgets, scope, and schedules of projects related to HVAC systems
- Familiarity with design and evaluation of HVAC systems in institutional settings
