What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist physicians in providing direct patient care, including collecting medical history and vital signs
- Advise patients on treatment, medication, and physician instructions
- Collect lab samples and complete necessary documentation for laboratory submission
- Manage patient appointment schedules, balancing medical needs with patient availability
- Register and check out patients, collect payments, and verify insurance coverage
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Support certification
- Proficient in the use of computers and electronic medical records
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Phlebotomy skills
- Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting
