What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of the clinic physician
- Conduct patient interviews and measure vital signs, recording information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and assist providers with various patient care tasks
- Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with administrative tasks such as registering patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Support certification
- Working knowledge of computers and electronic medical records
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
