What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect and record patients’ medical histories and vital signs
- Advise patients on treatment, medication, and physician instructions
- Manage patient appointment schedules and balance medical needs with patient availability
- Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner upon their arrival at the clinic
- Register and check out patients, collect payments, and verify insurance coverage
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Support certification
- Working knowledge of computers and electronic medical records
- Must be organized and detail-oriented with a passion for patient care
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Phlebotomy skills
- Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting
