What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in patient examinations and treatments under the direct supervision of the clinic physician
- Conduct patient interviews and measure vital signs, recording data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Draw and collect blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis
- Perform administrative tasks such as registering and scheduling patients for appointments and procedures
- Communicate with providers about patient visit summaries and assist with patient education
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Support certification
- Working knowledge of computers and electronic medical records
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an ambulatory care setting (preferred)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Phlebotomy skills
- Experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on patient care
