What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support to healthcare providers and nursing staff in delivering quality patient care
- Room patients, manage patient flow, and collect necessary medical information
- Administer medications and assist with procedures as delegated
- Coordinate lab and imaging results, notifying providers of any abnormalities
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and report any issues or changes in patient conditions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be 18 years of age with the necessary education and/or experience
- Non-certified applicants must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship if they have less than six months of Medical Assistant experience
- Current BLS certification from an accredited organization or in-house training within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift up to 32 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently
- Experience and knowledge needed to meet required competencies as listed in the job description
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous Medical Assistant experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants
