Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent); Current or must be attained within three (3) months of hire.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to individuals with previous similar clinic experience.
Competent use of personal computers and software programs, including Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power-Point).
- Previous experience with EMR systems.
- One year of experience in a physician’s practice

ResponsibilitiesPerforms clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Clerical duties may include scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by the physician.
