What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Measure and record vital signs including weight, height, and blood pressure
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR of patient interviews, histories, vital signs, and treatments
- Assist medical staff with patient examinations and utilize CPR skills when necessary
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and sterilize instruments, while also performing front office duties such as patient check-in/check-out
- Prepare and administer ordered injectable medications and immunizations, as well as assist patients with scheduling referrals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant, with phlebotomy and lab experience
- Experience working in a front office and in a Primary Care setting
- Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
