What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with patients’ healthcare management and clinical procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician
- Perform vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, and document in patient’s medical record
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation while adhering to regulatory guidelines
- Support patient needs by providing emotional support and creating a conducive climate for healing
- Participate in unit/clinic programs and meetings to contribute to team building and morale
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Approved Medical Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience preferred, with additional experience required for higher levels
- Compliance with all State and Federal regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional certifications such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA
- Experience working in a healthcare setting with diverse patient populations
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide focused constructive feedback
