What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review accounts to ensure accuracy of balances
- Provide account maintenance and work on collection modules for accounts 90 days and older
- Create spreadsheets of current balances for upcoming appointments
- Answer billing calls and respond to emails
- Post insurance and patient payments to appropriate accounts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree and 2 years of experience, or a minimum of 5 years of experience without an associate's degree
- Strong knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology, CPT codes, and payment and charge posting
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
- Proficiency in accessing, inputting, and retrieving information from a computer, with medical software program experience required
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong skills in patient orientation and customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
