What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process claims and manage accounts receivable while maintaining compliance with payer guidelines
- Investigate and resolve claim denials, identifying trends to enhance reimbursement outcomes
- Communicate effectively with internal partners and stakeholders regarding billing requirements
- Organize and prioritize daily billing responsibilities to ensure timely task completion
- Apply knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and OCHIN solutions to billing operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in billing and/or coding revenue cycle preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing and reimbursement processes preferred
- FQHC experience and knowledge preferred
- Dental billing experience preferred
- Medical Billing Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in acute care hospital settings, particularly in rural hospitals
- Ability to complete a competency assessment prior to the team interview
