      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes
      - Verify correct CPT-4/HCPCS procedure codes and capture charges for laboratory, radiology, supplies, and medical procedures
      - Abstract and code diagnoses and procedures from health records using appropriate classification systems
      - Attend staff meetings or other company-sponsored meetings as required
      - Perform additional duties as assigned

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or GED
      - CPC, CPC-H, CIC, COS, or CCS certification preferred, OR RHIA or RHIT certification with 3+ years of experience
      - Minimum of 3+ years of experience coding using ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT codes
      - Knowledge of all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines and regulations
      - Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience coding emergency or hospital ancillary services
      - Expertise in pathophysiology, anatomy, medical terminology, coding systems, techniques, and procedures
      - Experience with patient accounting systems, especially Stockell InsightCS, EPIC Community Connect, Cerner, and/or PICIS EMR
      - Knowledge and experience calculating and applying IV Infusion and Injection codes
