What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Read and analyze patient records to determine correct codes for reimbursement
- Accurately code for specialty services such as oncology and radiology
- Submit clean claims for payment and monitor claim denials for corrections
- Assist with provider education and maintain compliance with coding guidelines
- Interact with clients to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of patient information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification by AAPC or AHIMA (proof required)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong skills in HIPAA, OSHA, and insurance regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Rural Health Clinics (RHC) and eCW
- Familiarity with Meditech and high production environments
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic
