What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Collect patient information to be communicated to insurance carriers for authorization of specialty treatments
- Monitor faxes and office communications specific to prior authorizations
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with medical assistants, nurses, and physicians for seamless workflow
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
