    • Work directly with outside organizations to foster and sustain nonprofit, business, and community relationships;

    • Co-lead three advisory board meetings each year;

    • Attend community meetings, as assigned, to develop nonprofit and community support;

    • Responsible for organizing and facilitating all academy-related middle school events such as pathway visits, a guaranteed experience for each grade level, career exploration, and all other visits from community and nonprofit partners related to CCAA for the middle school. Strong background in event coordination;

    • Maintain records of hours for all community interactions and partnerships;

    • Serve as the point of contact for nonprofit and community stakeholders partnered with the six traditional APS middle schools;

    • Support the development of a positive school climate, the implementation of social emotional learning, the shift of instruction to inquiry-based learning, teacher workplace learning, guest speakers, field trips, and other CCAA experiential learning opportunities, tracking impact of same;

    • Serve on school leadership teams to align district initiatives with the School Improvement Plan;

    • Attend CCAA meetings as needed to provide support for implementation of reform initiatives.

    • Promote and participate in teacher-based teams within the school as needed to support teachers in developing and implementing experiential learning, service learning and inquiry-based learning for students;

    • Provide one district-wide ambassador training event for middle school ambassadors;;

    • Coordinate and support Inquiry-based Learning experiences and integrated curricula with academy teams and nonprofit partners to impact student achievement;

    • Seek out success stories from your school and provide them to the CCAA marketing manager.

    • Meet with Academy Coaches from other schools in a professional learning community;

    • Design and facilitate professional development related to CCAA (authentic teacher, design, etc.);

    • Maintain the fidelity of the College & Career Academy model within the middle schools;

    • Report to the Coordinator of Partner Engagement;

    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Current Ohio teaching or educational administrative certification/licensure or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field;

    • Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching or administrative experience within the school setting, and/or successful experience in leadership positions within the business community;

    • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders;

    • Willingness to interact with Partners and community to enhance student learning;

    • A commitment to working with students in a multicultural setting;

    • A commitment to continuous improvement.

    • Demonstrate use of technology including integration of tools for teacher and learning;

    • Knowledge of Career Academies;

    • Flexibility and self-direction;

    • Experience working in teams to design and participate in a professional learning community.
