What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Modify and adapt the K12 curriculum to meet the individual needs of students
- Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to achieve student goals
- Educate parents on instructional strategies and facilitate IEP meetings
- Proctor required testing and collaborate with the related services team on IEP goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- Bachelor's Degree and an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web applications
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional home office
- Ability to pass a required background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of classroom experience
- Master's Degree with an emphasis in Special Education
- 3 or more years of classroom experience in Special Education
