What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process military education benefits accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies
- Review course information for enrollment validation and billing to the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Communicate daily with representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure accuracy
- Reconcile military payments to student accounts and maintain quality of student records in the Student Information Systems
- Collaborate with Admission Counselors and students to ensure all necessary documents are received for Military Education Benefits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1+ years of experience in military benefit certifications, military student service, invoicing, financial aid, or bursar functions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Successful access to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), requiring federal loans to be in good standing
- Knowledge of VA Education Benefits and Federal Military Tuition Assistance
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
