      The Mine Manager position is located at GCC’s Tijeras, NM plant, 15 minutes from Albuquerque, NM. Relocation assistance is available.

      Experience & abilities you will need:

      • Must have 7-10 years of mining experience
      • Previous supervisory experience (5 years)
      • Experience with permitting, submittals, compliance and negotiations with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
      • Geology and/or Engineering B.S. Degree with 7 to 10 years of mining experience or a minimum of 10 years’ mining experience in place of the degree.
      • 5 years cement manufacturing experience preferred
      • Knowledge of database software, internet software, inventory software, manufacturing software, project management software, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
      • Good working knowledge of mining plan software
      • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
      • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
      • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
      • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
      • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
      • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
      • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
