What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain effective communication with all parties involved in the closing process to ensure a seamless experience from CD preparation to final document issuance
- Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to gather necessary documentation for closing
- Conduct thorough reviews of loan files to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Validate fees and facilitate timely funding of loans, including preparing and issuing Closing Disclosures
- Report any system or closing document issues to management and assist in onboarding new employees
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree plus a minimum of 2 years' prior mortgage experience, or a combined 4 years of higher education and/or work experience with 2 years of mortgage experience
- Strong PC skills with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and email software
- Ability to make sound decisions based on provided information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior mortgage experience in mortgage closing at a lender, title company, or settlement agent's office
- Solid knowledge of departmental software
- Notary Public certification
