What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise day-to-day activities related to loan origination functions for a team of Mortgage Loan Originators
- Ensure timely collection of documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing
- Establish and maintain referral source relationships to drive loan volume
- Participate in mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations
- Interview and recruit new talent while promoting employee development and engagement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically two or more years of relevant experience
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial information
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Established referral base within the assigned market
- 2 years of mortgage loan origination experience with proven results
- Good knowledge of sales and sales strategies
- Familiarity with local, state, and national laws related to mortgage lending
- Well-developed customer service and relationship management skills
