What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise day-to-day activities of a small team of Mortgage Loan Originators
- Ensure timely collection of documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing loans
- Establish and maintain referral source relationships to generate loan volume
- Participate actively in mortgage banking and real estate trade associations
- Interview and recruit new talent while fostering employee engagement and development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of mortgage sales experience
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act
- Ability to meet applicable requirements for performing duties outside of regular workplace
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial information
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Established referral base within the assigned market
- Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
- Thorough knowledge of mortgage products, operations, and current market trends
- Familiarity with local, state, and national laws related to mortgage lending
- 2 years of mortgage loan origination experience with proven results
