Neighbourhood Regeneration Manager
Permanent Role
PO6: Starting salary £50,757 per annum
Do you want to lead and deliver good regeneration in Lambeth?
By undertaking exciting projects across the borough and working closely with communities, businesses and Members, you will be able to embed positive change at a local and strategic level – supporting inclusive growth for all. The Neighbourhood Regeneration team strives to make a difference working across a range of geographical areas and ambitious projects.
You will be joining a supportive, caring and energetic team who are committed to having a positive impact and also enjoy working together, sharing information and opportunities for learning as well as seeking to innovate through our work with communities; looking to others further afield for inspiration. Regular opportunities also exist within Lambeth for personal and professional development and growth.
The team comprises a plethora of diverse and different backgrounds. We welcome applicants with a degree level (or equivalent) qualification in a discipline linked to one of the built environment professions including regeneration, development management, planning, architecture/urban design; or a background with equivalent professional experience working within the sector.
Lambeth is a diverse and thriving central London borough which includes the high growth areas of South Bank, Waterloo and Vauxhall and the rapidly evolving town centres and neighbourhoods of Brixton, Streatham and West Norwood. This growth is underpinned by a dynamic culture sector and innovative economy in areas such as Medical Technology and the Low Carbon Economy. Throughout all we are seeking to achieve, the response to the climate crisis through a just transition and a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of all that we do.
In order to support our ambitions, an opportunity exists to join our Neighbourhood Regeneration team to help contribute to the boroughs’ people and place based activity, with a focus in Waterloo and South Bank. The role will provide challenge and variety, taking forward opportunities for development and the design and delivery of interventions in the built environment, working closely with a rich array of local stakeholder and the community. You will be required to actively seek and maintain partnerships across the public, private and third sectors, and develop strategies and deliver regeneration that directly benefits local businesses and residents. The working environment is aspirational, supportive and fun.
To help address under-representation in our workforce and create a genuinely inclusive workplace, we particularly welcome applications from people that reflect Lambeth’s diverse community.
