      £ 26,000 28,000

      Reports to: National Acquisition Manager

      Department: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement

      Contract: 12 Month Maternity Cover or Secondment Opportunity.

      Hours: Full time 35 hours per week , flexible working option will be considered.

      Location : Home-based UK wide.

      We are looking for a curious, ambitious and proactive New Business Executive to join our Supporter Led fundraising business development team. Focusing on community fundraising you will support the wider team with high quality research, identifying and developing new sources of leads and qualifiers, and ensur ing agreed KPI’s are met in line with divisional and national targets. You will use your research skills and curious nature to build local knowledge, ensuring representation, and providing face to face support where required .

      This is a great role for someone who has worked in a research or new business role. You’ll be organised, have great attention to detail and not be shy in picking up the phone to speak to new leads. You’ll also be surrounded by people who are as dedicated to beating cancer as you are.

      What will I be doing?

      • Us ing a variety of resources to identify and research prospects with capacity to support C ancer Research UK in the short and longer term, working towards agreed targets and K ey Performance Indicators.

      • Supporting the development of a robust prospect pipeline of opportunities, identifying and cultivating leads with a strong focus on lifetime value to CRUK

      • Support ing the operations and divisional teams to identify target audiences from our existing data in line with strategic needs

      • Work ing with the divisional team to contribute to lead generation and research strategies .

      • Provide supporter facing engagement and representation of the Business Development team within the division as required

      What skills will I need ?

      • Proactive and highly organised with a strong attention to detail – able to manage own workload and ensure conflicting deadlines and priorities are well handled

      • Ability to collect and assimilate large amounts of detailed information, identify key points and convey complex ideas clearly and succinctly to support effective decision making.

      • Experience of providing excellent customer service

      • Ability to build strong professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders across regional teams and operate as part of a team

      • Experience of working successfully in professional research, using a variety of research resources

      • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form
