What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform an in-depth review of at least 75 proposed transactions per month
- Evaluate borrower income based on various income and asset documentation
- Obtain and review required loan documentation to ensure compliance with published guidelines
- Communicate calculations used to pre-qualify applicants and provide essential information on assessments
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in guidelines, policies, and regulations applicable to the mortgage industry
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer, or Underwriter in the mortgage industry
- Proficient in Encompass, AllRegs, Desktop Underwriter, Loan Product Advisor, and LoanBeam
- Knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or relevant field preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- NMLS License under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008
- Experience with industry-standard income worksheets for self-employed applicants and wage earners
- Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
