What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform an in-depth review of at least 75 proposed transactions per month
- Evaluate various income and asset documentation to determine borrower qualifications
- Communicate effectively with borrowers and third parties to gather necessary documentation for loan assessments
- Analyze credit reports and provide calculations for pre-qualification
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage industry guidelines and compliance requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer, or Underwriter in the mortgage industry
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as Encompass, AllRegs, and Desktop Underwriter
- Knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a relevant field
- NMLS License under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008
- Familiarity with income worksheets for self-employed applicants and wage earners
