What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Organize, review, and analyze medical records for litigation purposes
- Prepare detailed medical chronologies summarizing records that address complaints, claimed injuries, and medical treatment received
- Identify additional medical records that need to be obtained for legal cases
- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to support trial preparations
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal standards in handling sensitive medical information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Coder certification preferred
- Experience reviewing medical records in a legal setting
- Solid knowledge of litigation support processes
- Ability to produce detailed medical chronologies
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a paralegal role or related field
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
