What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage outpatient care in collaboration with a physician for oncology patients
- Provide anticipatory guidance, patient and family education, and emotional support
- Participate in interdisciplinary care team communication and collaboration
- Utilize critical thinking and research principles to improve care quality
- Engage in formal and informal learning opportunities to enhance knowledge
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program in Massachusetts
- Current certification from a recognized accrediting body for Nurse Practitioners or NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
- Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing or Nurse Practitioner experience
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field for Physician Assistants
- Maintenance of current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN, AOCN, CPON, BMTCN, CPHON)
- Oncology Nurse Practitioner experience preferred for NP candidates
- 2-5 years of professional Physician Assistant experience for PA candidates
