What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide prescribed occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists
- Participate in home environmental assessments and assist with rehabilitation care plan development
- Transport and assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, beds, and other mobility aids
- Arrange patient schedules and report any delays to ensure timely care
- Maintain and care for equipment and supplies used in therapy sessions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Occupational Therapy Assistant certification: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- One year of occupational therapy experience: Preferred
- Two years of rehabilitative services experience or equivalent education: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree in occupational therapy or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and neonatal rehabilitation
- Ability to mentor and train staff on technical skills
- Familiarity with home health care settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to patient safety and comfort
