What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the educational achievement of all Michigan students by ensuring access to high-quality instruction
- Collaborate with educators and stakeholders to implement state and federal education laws
- Assist in the development and administration of programs to maintain Michigan's educator workforce
- Provide leadership and guidance within the education ecosystem to enhance public education
- Engage in feedback and information-sharing with public policy-makers regarding educational policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must possess a current or past Michigan teacher's certificate or a comparable certificate
- Experience in educational administration or related fields is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to evaluate and implement educational programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a public education setting, particularly within state government
- Familiarity with state education policies and regulations
- Prior involvement in program development or educational leadership roles
- Advanced degree in education or a related field
- Experience working with special education programs
