What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Compile, generate, and maintain operational and statistical reports, ensuring data accuracy
- Manage and prioritize clerical tasks using computerized systems while meeting strict deadlines
- Coordinate with internal units to facilitate workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Assist with financial functions, including reviewing invoices and maintaining documentation
- Provide general clerical support such as filing, data entry, and preparing correspondence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of general clerical work experience
- Must be a current State of Connecticut employee in the Office of the Secretary of the State for at least six (6) months
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computers and electronic devices
- Proficient in office systems and procedures, including filing and telephone usage
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in compiling operational or statistical reports and presenting trend information
- Familiarity with managing workloads using computerized systems to meet deadlines
- Experience coordinating projects or tasks with multiple internal units
- Background in supporting office financial tasks, including tracking costs and reviewing invoices
- Experience in handling confidential correspondence
