      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Instructional Writing and Design: Write courses and develop resources for child protection caseworkers and supervisors using personal subject matter expertise and partner with instructional designers for the design and development of products
      - Needs Assessment: Utilize performance data, skills gap analyses, and individual training needs assessments to identify the learning needs of child protection caseworkers and supervisors
      - Research and Empirical Support: Conduct thorough reviews of professional literature to establish the empirical foundation for the competencies addressed in the training
      - Quality Improvement: Work closely with continuous quality improvement staff to evaluate the effectiveness of training and actively engage in ongoing enhancement initiatives
      - Trainer Development and Management: Identify and evaluate the qualifications of trainers; prepare trainers to deliver instructor-led courses; and provide technical assistance as needed

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in a related field
      - Five (5) years professional experience working with a Public Children Services Agency with at least two years as a supervisor
      - Knowledge of Ohio’s child welfare practice models, policies, and procedures
      - Professional experience with Ohio resources related to child welfare casework
      - Excellent communication and leadership skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field
      - Master’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field
      - Minimum of 5 years of experience in child protection or a related field
      - Ability to dissect and explain child protection policies, procedures, and best practices
      - Expert knowledge of Ohio’s Comprehensive Assessment and Planning Model (CAPM)
