What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately abstract and interpret clinical data from patient medical records to identify and record cancer diagnoses
- Track oncology patient data throughout the full course of care, from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up
- Input complete, high-quality data into national cancer registries and internal databases
- Maintain a consistent workflow of abstracting 5 cases per day (25 cases per week) from a provided suspense list
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with cancer reporting standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3-5 years of medical records experience
- Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential is required
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cancer registry reporting and quality management initiatives
- Familiarity with oncology data sources and patient care tracking
- Previous work in a remote team setting
- Advanced proficiency in data management software and databases
