      Job Description

      We are looking for a successful experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of Cooinda Lodge Kakadu. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operations across all departments, maintaining high standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of the lodge.

      • Front Office & Retail Management: Lead hotel front office operations and retail management to ensure top-quality, customer-focused service. Supervise guest arrivals and departures, optimize room allocations, and ensure accurate system usage to maintain operational efficiency.

      • Team & Department Coordination: Manage and support the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams to meet service standards, resolve guest issues quickly, and maintain room cleanliness. Coordinate with the Reservations team to maximize occupancy and yield management.

      • Reporting & Operational Excellence: Prepare detailed monthly reports on key performance indicators, monitor night audit accuracy in collaboration with the Financial Controller, and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction through effective oversight of daily operations.

      • Management Presence & Guest Focus: Ensure management visibility during peak times to lead by example, maintain consistency in public area presentation, and provide support across departments to address guest needs. Adhere to emergency communication protocols, ensuring media inquiries are handled by the designated spokesperson.

      Qualifications

      • Proven experience in front office management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.

      • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams (Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Reservations) to achieve service excellence and meet productivity targets.

      • Strong organizational skills with experience in preparing reports, managing operational processes, and collaborating with finance teams to ensure accurate auditing and financial performance. Ability to analyze key performance indicators and adjust strategies as needed.

      • A customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to resolving guest issues and improving overall guest experience. Ability to handle emergencies, guest complaints, and media inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
