      Schedule: Full-time with on call responsibilities. Schedule will vary based on needs of programs and may include evenings and weekends.

      Wage: $60,000-$62,000/year

      Job Description

      The Operational Manager is responsible for coordination and management of the overall program, including supervision of site supervisors. the placement of adults and children in out-of-home care and final approval of all home studies. Two priority areas of responsibility include hiring, orientation and ongoing training of high-quality staff, supervisors and independent contractors, and ensuring all aspects of the program are developed, implemented, coordinated, and monitored to the highest degree possible. The Operational Manager should have direct communication and access to the Senior Director and all supervisors within the organization.

      What You Get to Do:

      • Monitor compliance for all conditions of contract (COCs) for contracted providers
      • Provide thorough, complete and timely orientation and training to new and current contracted providers.
      • Assure that admit, discharge, and change forms are completed and submitted on a timely basis.
      • Review and communicate contractual obligations with contracted providers.
      • Ensure units are requested and obtained prior to services rendered for contracted provider service recipients.
      • Assure the development and compliance of new potential contracted providers.
      • Complete initial home studies and home inspections.
      • Manage all incoming referrals or service questions from outside sources for all services.
      • Enrollment of new admissions
      • Provide case management for individual adults and children, including but not limited to attending individual plan meetings as needed, effective and timely communication to all team members, and ensuring all Individual Plan (IP) outcomes are implemented and documented.
      • Coordinate services for individuals and their families in conjunction with the Department of Human Services (DHS).
      • Provide monitoring and support to all site supervisors and their program sites and monitor the quality of all aspects of the programs.
      • To know and assure implementation of all organizational policies, procedures and contracts.
      • Provide leadership to site supervisors, staff and contractors on the implementation of all program areas.
      • Assist the team in developing Protective Intervention Plans (PIP), or Psychotropic Medication Protective Intervention Plans (PMPIP), assuring input from all involved parties; and ensure training for all staff and contractors in the proper implementation.

      Qualifications

      What Makes You A Great Fit:

      • Required: Bachelor’s degree with nine college credit hours in either family focus, individual function and interactions, child development, sociology, social work, and/or a closely related subject and 4 years in children’s services experience
        • OR master's degree in social work and 1 year of experience in children’s services; or a master’s degree in behavioral or social science or a related field and 2 years experience in children’s services; or a doctorate in a behavioral or social science or a related field and 1 year of experience in children’s services.
      • One to three years’ supervisory experience of front-line management is required
      • Prior experience in developing and implementing individual programs and budget implementation, is preferred
      • Must have good decision-making, time management, and communication skills, and be responsible, mature, and flexible
